The modern household needs more than a standard, Type A USB socket. The prevalence of Type-C USB being used in modern devices has led Click to launch a new range of Type C USB sockets in a range of white plastic and decorative metal finishes to match all their existing ranges.

The new Click USB sockets feature both central Type A and Type C ports for added flexibility. The combined rating is 4.2A, with priority given to the Type C port to always allow for it's full output of 3A. When both ports are used, the Type A's output is reduced to 1.2A. |

All of the new Scolmore range of USB C sockets feature Click’s new safety shutters that will only open when all three BS 1363 plug-top pins engage correctly with the shutter. Inserting the earth pin alone will not open the live and neutral shutters like in conventional sockets. The safety shutters are designed to exceed BS 1363 requirements as a standard BS 1363 shutter only requires an engaging earth pin to open the shutter. |

The moulded plastic wiring accessories (Mode, Mode Part M and Polar White) are all manufactured using urea formaldehyde, which has similar inherent properties to anti-microbial additives that inhibit the spread of infectious diseases. When independently tested, all of the Click moulded plastic products achieved a 99.99% kill off rate across MRSA, E-Coli, Salmonella and Klebsiella Pneumonia. |
